We’re still about 10 days away from clubs holding preseason camps, but we now have a clear picture of how the 2025 season will play out.
UPDATE (Jan. 31): The 2025 NWSL schedule page has now been released. It is complete with broadcast information and you should definitely bookmark it!
The 2025 NWSL Challenge Cup in Orlando will be March 7 a week prior to the regular season beginning. That match usually features the winner of the previous year's NWSL Shield and the reigning league Champion, but since Orlando Pride claimed both we’ll see a rematch: Orlando Pride and Washington Spirit. The match will air on Prime Video at 8 p.m. (ET).
The regular season begins the following week on March 14. Each team will play 26 matches over 25 weeks, including a break from June 23-29 and during July for other competitions and a CBA-mandated break. (Neither Bos Nation FC or the recently announced Denver franchise complete in 2025.)
The regular season wraps up the weekend of October 31-November 2. Playoffs start the next weekend with the 2025 NWSL Championship on November 22.
The NWSL also released details on where you can watch each match and a few other key highlights of the competition calendar in the story posted on their website today. Check it out.
