Michele Kang, owner of Washington Spirit, is making a $25 million investment to support U.S. Soccer. Kang has now committed a total of $55 million, including her massive donation announced last year.

Kang's announcement promises the integration of her Kynisca Innovation Hub, a science-backed platform dedicated to improving how female athletes train. The Hub was launched during the Olympics last summer. On the platform's website, Kang says, "We are not going to borrow a manual from the men. We want to understand women's physiology and biology and train our athletes according to that."

This latest announcement is focused on U.S. Soccer's Soccer Forward Foundation with a goal of scaling resources at a national level. The two key objectives will be research to advance the health of female soccer players and to establish performance and development best practices.
