Details from NWSL (April 24, 2024)

The NWSL and Spiideo announced a partnership expansion to provide multi-angle AI automated capture of high-quality video, together with data breakdowns on all games across the league.

A key part of the extension is that two additional AI cameras will be installed behind the goals at every stadium.

This also means all teams, players and coaches will continue to have access to Spiideo’s cloud-based video platform. The information gathered gives teams access to data to identify game-changing moments, refine tactics and enhance player development. The goal is to elevate the standard of play across the league.

From the NWSL release: “Our collaboration with Spiideo has been transformative, and this extended partnership will continue to enrich our league’s ecosystem. With these tools at our disposal, our clubs are continuing to enhance on-field tactics and strategic development, strengthen the standard of play across the league and set new benchmarks for excellence in our sport,” said Chief Sporting Director Tatjana Haenni.
